Announcement: Guidelines for Preventing Unfair Digital Asset Trading Practices
To ensure that the Company’s operations comply with the Emergency Decree on Digital Asset Businesses B.E. 2561 (2018) and all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and relevant requirements, which require digital asset business operators to establish systems for monitoring and detecting abnormal market conditions in order to prevent and address trading orders that may constitute improper trading in digital assets traded through the digital asset exchange, the Company hereby issues this Announcement to establish guidelines and procedures for handling cases where abnormal market conditions arising from trading orders that may constitute unfair trading practices are detected.
Guidelines for Handling Unfair Digital Asset Trading Practices
The placement of buy or sell orders at prices significantly higher or lower than the prevailing market price may create a false or misleading impression regarding market conditions or the actual price level of a digital asset. In certain circumstances, such conduct may constitute market manipulation, which may adversely affect other investors and the fairness and integrity of the market.
To manage such risks, mitigate potential adverse impacts, and protect the interests of investors, the Company has established additional controls on the placement of trading orders. These measures shall take effect from 23 Sep 2026 onwards, as follows:
• Buy Limit Orders: The system will impose price limits on the placement of Buy Limit Orders. The order price must not exceed 30% of the reference price and must not be lower than 80% of the reference price at the time the order is submitted. If an investor submits a Buy Limit Order at a price outside the prescribed range, the system will reject the order and will not allow it to be submitted to the trading system.
• Sell Limit Orders: The system will impose price limits on the placement of Sell Limit Orders. The order price must not be lower than 30% of the reference price and must not exceed 500% of the reference price at the time the order is submitted. If an investor submits a Sell Limit Order at a price outside the prescribed range, the system will reject the order and will not allow it to be submitted to the trading system.
Example
Remark: The reference price is calculated based on the latest price available on CoinMarketCap, in accordance with the criteria prescribed by the Company. In the event that a particular digital asset is not available on CoinMarketCap, the reference price will be calculated based on the latest price available on Orbix Trade.
The Company sincerely hopes that these measures will provide additional protection for investors’ interests.
