How to Unlock a Password-Protected PDF

If the PDF file is password-protected, you can unlock it by following these steps:

For Android Devices:

1. Open the PDF file using Google Chrome on your mobile device.
   

2. Enter the password to unlock the file.

   

3. Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner.

   

4. Select Print, then change the printer destination to "Save as PDF".

   

5. Select the page(s) you want, tap the Share/Export icon, and choose the location where you want to save or send the unlocked file.

   (After submitting or saving the file, your PDF will be successfully unlocked.)

For iOS Devices (iPhone/iPad):

1. Download and save the PDF file into the Files app.

   

2. Enter the password when prompted.

   

3. Tap the downward arrow icon at the top of the screen.

   

4. Tap Print, then re-enter the password if required.

   

5. Select the page(s) to export > Tap the Share icon again > Choose your desired location to save or send the file.

   (After submitting or saving the file, your PDF will be successfully unlocked.)

For computer users:

1. Right-click on the PDF file you want to unlock → Open With → Google Chrome

   

2. Enter the file password

   

3. Click the printer icon at the top right

   

4. Click "Save", then choose the location to save the file
