What is Tezos (XTZ)

Tezos network was developed to be the platform for DApp developers to have easier and more efficient tools for developing applications, including creating NFT for users to access freely with more convenient, faster, and secure. Tezos is an open-source platform with Proof of Stake algorithm that depends on support from community such as the validator, researchers, and developers.

Tezos Founder

Tezos was found married couple; Arthur and Kathleen Breitman. In 2014, Authur published the first Tezos whitepaper under the alias of L.M. Goodman following the founder of Bitcoin who use alias of Satoshi Nakamoto.

Arthur uses to work as data analysis at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, also experienced as research & development engineer for Google X and Waymo.

Kathleen was senior strategy planning at R3 and experienced working with Accenture, Bridgewater Associates, and Wall Street Journal.

Why Tezos

One of the main features that make Tezos unique is its on-chain scalability system. Tezos is capable of upgrading the network constantly, making the network high scalability, and this on-chain upgrade will cause very little pause on the user's side.

Another main feature is its governance system that allows the community to support the network by being transaction validator and provide their vote, suggestion and approval of the development of the network. As Tezos is an open-source network with algorithms of Proof of Stake, the network is capable of supporting a large number of validators which lead to higher security on network transactions.

XTZ Utility

As the native coin of Tezos, XTZ main utility is being gas fee for every transaction on network. Token holders can stake the XTZ on network for more XTZ as reward or can use token as right to vote and decide the development direction of network development.

Roadmap and future of Tezos

There is various application on Tezos network including game and NFT art. Tezos once partner with one of the biggest football team of the world, Manchester United, to release digital collection in the form of Web3 NFT on the network for team fan club to collect the art. In 2024, as Google Cloud push into Web3 space, Tezos was chosen as partner to deploy secure and resilient archive nodes across all continents with each node can store around 1 TB
